Coilovers

I had been urrming and rrring for quite a while on what suspension setup to choose. My current suspenion had now been on the car since new so was showing signs of age and affecting the overall ride quality. I consided going for sports shocks and lowering springs all round but as I changed my wheels a fair bit I wanted a suspenison option which could easily be adjusted. Slammed in the summer months but a sensible height during the winter month, for this reason I decided to go for coilovers. After some research I ended up going for a set of Lowtec H9.3s. These will remain at a sensible height on the winter rims  (40mm front / 30mm rear) and once the 19" LMs go back on the car these will be dropped further:

Mudflaps removal

The mudflaps that I had on the car were fitted from factory. As they were OEM they looked just right and did a good job but as they had been on the car since 2004 they were getting a bit tired looking. The choice to replace them with new ones or remove them for good had to be made. As I was planning on upgrading my suspension I knew that mudflaps wouldnt really work so decided to remove:

Interior Refresh - stickerbombing

After carbon wrapping my interior I was happy with the change, but still thought the interior was a bit boring and bland! Ive always been a fan of the dub scene and after going to various shows it was obvious that the trend 'stickerbombing' was a BIG deal!

I loved the style and the look but though that this look might be a bit too extreme for my interior, so with this in mind I had an idea.....

Wacky wild colours were not to be! Black and white was where it was at :

18" CSL wheels refurb

When I got my 19" BBS LMs I knew that the polished lip would be a nightmare during the winter months and for that reason I decided to keep hold of my old wheels. When I put the 18" CSL back on the car, I just didnt like the look anymore. As the 'winter' wheels were going to be on for upto 4 months of the year I knew I had to do something to freshen the look.

Always liked black wheels so decided that I would get the wheels refurbed to new condition and finished in a satin black:

///M Steering wheel

Always liked the chunky sporty feel of the ///M steering wheel, managed to get one for a bargain, so out with the old in with the new...

///M Gearknob

A friend of mine upgraded his gearknob and was kind enough to give me his old one, much shorter and OEM one, happy days!

The smallest photo ever, but put a smile to my face regardless...

Chrome dials and red needles

Mid-Sport Exhaust system

Theres no hiding the fact that my car is a 2litre diesel, it was debadged from factory but unless your deaf and cannot hear the engine the dead give away is the horrible nose down exhaust (no pics its too ugly) I popped down to MIJ performance in Wallsall after they were recommended to me. 1001 tailpipes to choose from I manged to pick one, decided to go for a mid-sport setup just so I can hear the turbo, the look from the rear end has been dramatically improved and I love it!

19" BBS LMs wheels

These were a suprise purchase, Ive always loved LMs and it turned out a friend of mine was selling a set of nearly new rims, I just had to have them...

Black side indicators...

The silver side indicators that were fitted previously still looked decent but I was given some laminte X tinting film so decided to give it a try. I used some halfords matt black spray paint for the surrounds amd here is the end result...

Lowering springs

Once the 18" CSL wheels were fitted I was happy with how the rear sat but the front still sat a little too high for my liking. I decided to lower the car at the front. Using the standard front shocks I added Apex lowering springs...

New mirrors

Having heated mirrors is great! When they look old and worn it really lets down the overall apperence, few quid spent and all sorted...
